Walking and driving instructions
Percy Falls is roughly a 15 minutes' drive away from Wellington City. The road surface is always sealed. From Wellington head north on the SH-2 for 12 km. Leave the motorway and turn left into Dowse Drive, then immediately turn left again (there will be a sign 'Percy Scenic Reserve'). There is a huge parking at the Percy Scenic Reserve entrance. There are some picnic tables (under a roof) and toilets. From the car park follow Waterfall Walk. It is an easy and very well-maintained walk. The walk leads to the pond, then goes along the creek with a number of creek's crossing via foot bridges. After 10 minutes you'll reach the waterfall. There is a bench in front of the waterfall where you can enjoy its beauty and have a rest. Return via the same track. More experienced walkers can choose to continue the track up to Kohekohe Climb or Jagger Shortcut. The track is not suitable for wheelchairs/strollers because it has some stairs on it.
