Douglas FallsA tiny waterfall, Douglas Falls is found along the HAAST Highway. It’s quite difficult to take a photo of this waterfall due to a few trees which block the view.

Douglas Falls is roughly a 1.5 hours' drive away from Wanaka. The road surface is always sealed. From Wanaka travel north on the SH-6 for 110. A car park is located near a bridge over the Douglas Creek (there is a sign 'Douglas Falls' there). There are no facilities there. The waterfall is easily found from a car park and it doesn’t require any walking. The waterfall is seen only partially due to the trees which block the view, that's why the waterfall doesn't look impressive. In the future, if DOC clear the view, then the waterfall would be more attractive. |
