Sinks Bridge Waterfall

Unofficially named, Sinks Bridge Waterfall is a typical multi-step waterfall located in the Fiordland National Park. The waterfall is seen from the highway and don't require any walking. However, a closer approach is possible.

Walking and driving instructions

Sinks Bridge Waterfall is roughly a 1.5-hours’ drive away from Te Anau or 3.5-hours from Queenstown. The road surface is always sealed.

From Te Anau follow Milford Road (SH-94), one of the most scenic and 'waterfalls' road in New Zealand, for 96.5km. There is a small parking near Sinks Bridge on the SH-94, 3-km before the Homer Tunnel. There are no facilities there.

The waterfall is seen on the left hand side when you drive towards Milford Sound.

You can, with care, walk to waterfall's base but there is no official track there. It takes up to 30 minutes to approach the waterfall, and the walk is more or less easy one.
