Walking and driving instructions

Te Miko Waterfall is roughly a 45-minutes drive away from Greymouth, or just 2-minutes from Punakaiki. The road surface is always sealed.

From Punakaiki travel north along SH-6 for 1.8km until you reach a signed ('Truman Track') parking on a side of the road. There are no facilities there.

Follow the Truman Track which goes through coastal bush and brings you to the beach (you'll have to descend on the beach, so not suitable for wheelchair). You will see the waterfall from a distance to you right. You can walk to its base.

Recommend to visit after a rain.

Return via the same route. Total walking time is 25-30 minutes.
