Walking and driving instructions
Cleddau Valley Vistas Waterfalls are roughly a 1.5-hours drive away from Te Anau or 3.5-hours from Queenstown. The road surface is always sealed. From Te Anau follow Milford Road (SH94) , one of the most scenic and 'waterfalls' road in New Zealand. There is a big parking at SH94 just before the Hommer Tunnel entrance. There is no any facilities there. Alternatively, you may choose to travel by bus. Buses quite often stop there and give the tourists an opportunity to take beautiful photos. The main waterfalls can be seen on the right hand side, and there are also waterfalls on the left hand side. If you have time, then you can walk up to waterfall's base - just follow 20 minutes return East Homer Nature Walk. The walk is really worth it. The waterfalls are permanent and always beautiful, but much more impressive after a rain. |
